Who are Free Insulation Grant Scheme?

Adding home insulation will bring huge savings by reducing the amount of heat that escapes, and therefore minimising the time that you need to have your heating on.

Estimates are that having insulation could cut your energy bills by as much as £300 per year, depending on your home and the type of insulation installed. Cavity wall insulation, for example, can save up to 15% on heating costs.

Under the government insulation scheme, it is the leading energy companies who are under the obligation to provide the grants for home insulation to those who qualify.

Our fees for installation and aftercare are sourced through the scheme and its grants, so you won’t have to pay out to cover our costs during the process.

This allows you to get your insulation at a fraction of the cost.

Funding is focused exclusively on people with lower incomes who are considered to be vulnerable or living in ‘fuel poverty’, meaning they are likely to struggle to heat their home.

It’s quite difficult to work out if you might be eligible for funding for insulation as it depends on several criteria. However, if you receive the Warm Home Discount, or certain types of benefits, you’re likely to be eligible.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO3) is a government energy efficiency scheme in Great Britain designed to tackle fuel poverty and help reduce carbon emissions.

The scheme runs until 31 March 2022 and is different from previous schemes it replaced, in that there is no longer any availability for any homeowners/tenants not in receipt of a qualifying benefit.
